How do I get a Canvas account?
- Students will automatically have an account created for them.
- Students will be loaded into Canvas courses approximately one-two weeks before each semester begins.
- Students should be able to log in and access their Canvas courses the first week of the semester, once your instructor(s) make the course(s) available.
Why is my course missing?
- An instructor must "Publish" a course before a student will see it listed under Courses. Until at least one course is available to you, the top navigation bar shows as Home.
- All courses, including unpublished courses, can be found in the left navigation bar in Canvas. Click on "Courses" then "All Courses" to see the complete list of courses you are enrolled in. Current and future courses that are not yet published will show in "Future enrollments."
- If a course is still missing from Canvas and you have checked the above two options, please verify that your course is still listed in your current schedule in myGate.

- To report errors, please click on the Help on the right-hand navigation bar and choose to Report a Problem.
- If you have questions about your Canvas course content, contact your instructor.
- Canvas guides and online video tutorials are available for instructors and students at http://guides.instructure.com.
